So yeah. Our company's slogan for 2007 is "Members and Margins". M&M. We have M&Ms-themed stuff all over the building. Including FRAMED M&Ms on the walls by our elevators.

Aren't we supposed to be a classy, upscale place? I mean, really... look at that fancy schmancy wallpaper! The doofy looking blue M&M guys just kills the whole look. Lame!

rain rain go away

Slowly but surely... I'll catch up to the correct number of pictures. I just can't help it if my life has been a bit too hectic lately to remember to pull out my camera! :)

Yesterday while on a conference call (you know how I feel about conference calls), I made an exciting addition to my desk calendar. I have pre-purchased my tickets for HP#5... my mom and I are going to see it on July 12. Yay!! Hence the logo on that day.... And yes, before you say anything... I *am* that cool.

In other news... we've had some really crazy weather here in Texas. Lots of rain and clouds and storms. Here's two photos from today... the first is taken out of the window of my boss's office. Check out those clouds! And the second is clearly the aftermath... several hours later. I saw it in the sky over my neighborhood when I was driving home from taking Stella to the vet. I love rainbows!!!

All I can say is that hope this damn rain goes away soon. It's getting slightly old. Hello, this is supposed to be Texas - sunny and hot hot all summer!! Come on now.

Miss Stella did not like being at home without me Sunday night. She hasn't eaten since Monday breakfast.

Doesn't she look so sad? We're having some girl time tonight. About to pop in a movie and play with some toys. Yeah baby!!

Here are two pictures from Saturday night (since Sunday was spent cleaning, packing and flying)... Christina's birthday wine party! It was a great time - lots of food, wine, and fun people! She's got more pictures from the evening on her blog (look to the right) in case you're interested!!

This first one is a pre-party photo. Jackie and I joined forces to get Christina a great (no, perfect) birthday gift. The theme was dessert... dessert wine, dessert plates, and Sprinkles cupcakes! So appropriate. Here's what it looked like after we (and by "we" I mean Jackie) spent Saturday afternoon wrapping the presents...

Later on the wine started flowing! And the food, too... whatever those puff pastry things were were amazing. I'm pretty sure we could have just sat there with the whole basket on our laps and been content for the rest of the evening. Happy girls... Jackie, Jackie, and Christina!

I didn't get a chance to take any pictures while I was in Nashville yesterday.... it was just GO GO GO the whole time (just barely over 24 hours). So I'll make it up to you with another double-post later in the week. :)

ghetto booty

Another special delivery at work today! Yay for my cute new brown tank top with the guitar on the back! The picture kind of distorted when it shrank (is my ass really that big?!), but it's cool... you get the idea!

Ordinarily I wouldn't wear the extra wifebeater underneath, but seeing as I was at work... hardl appropriate to just strip down at my desk.......

This evening I bought Miss Stella a new collar. It's a choke chain, so it's a little loose on her unless she's pulling on the leash. It looks like a big ghetto fabulous chain necklace. We will call it her *bling*.


Aren't you just falling in love with my dog? She is so adorable. You would never know that deep down she's a vicious beast who would very much like to kill my mom's dog.... :)

more recklessness

Yeah, just another picture I took while driving. But in my defense... it was pretty nice outside. I felt that a day like today deserved some recognition.

Such a welcome change from all the crazy storms and rain we've been having lately. I know droughts are bad, but flooding is worse. Plus Stella and I are scared of thundestorms...

So... I figure, not counting today's picture.... I'm two behind. I don't know how I became such a slackass with this. I started out with such gusto! I do actually have some stuff going on that is occupying my mind, so I'll use that as an excuse. Nothing bad... don't start worrying about me. Just job stuff... moving stuff... exciting yes! But also a little anxiety-causing. But good anxiety. I think. :)

Annnnyway. I'll start out with a picture from yesterday. It's another super exciting work photo. Just a stack of graphs. Not even sure what is being measured... membership dues, I'm thinking. Who knows.

So we're halfway through June! Isn't that crazy? It feels like it was just March. Where does the time go??

2. I have seen this truck around a lot. It just says "chris" on it. I think it's funny.

You're reading this, so I'm guessing you probably know me. And if so, you know that I am a somewhat reckless and slightly aggressive driver. This picture definitely demonstrates the former, as I was driving when I took it. (Yes I am that cool.)

That's me, driving home from HH tonight. (That's Happy Hour for you silly people who don't speak in abbreviations.) I ate way too much, and did so way too quickly. I hate when I do that!!

Spent some Q-T with the mutt last night. I swear, by the time we were finished, every last one of these toys was scattered around the entire playroom. She is just too much fun.

So this is me and my friend Christina, tailgating it up before the Indy race. It was so much fun... even though it was insanely hot. But the beer was flowing, and the food was plentiful. All in all, an f-ing blast!

As promised... here is a fantabulous photo from yesterday.

Spent the day out at Texas Motor Speedway for the Indy Car race. I've never really watched the Indy Series before, and only really know about it because of Danica Patrick. Kind of crazy for a NASCAR fanatic like me... but you know.

Now, we're out there in the parking lot, tailgating away, making nasty comments about nearly everyone that walks by. You know, typical activities for hanging out in a large crowd environment. Well. Here comes this truck pulling a trailer. You know, not that unusual. But behind it, THIS trailer is pulling a huge inflatable pool with 6 guys in it.

Seriously. Only in Texas, at some sort of racing event (where the rednecks come out in droves), would this ever EVER happen!!

Again, I'm a day behind. And I know that today's won't get posted until tomorrow, as I will be gone all day!

Went to Target last night to load up on supplies for my world famous tailgate veggies for the Indy Race today. After finding everything on my list I stopped by the $1 section and just had to take a picture of this group of gems.


I know, I know... big deal. It's socks, a bandana, and a visor. But there are anchors on them!!!! Believe me, when you're a DG, this is pretty damn cool. You really don't find anchors all that often! Where was this stuff when we were in school?!

Whatever, I bought them anyway. :)

This one is from last night. It's my girl... playing with her squeaky pink elephant. She loves getting right up in my face and squeaking it... trying to get me to take it from her and throw it.

Of course when I reach for it... she runs away. What a tease. Hmmm... I wonder where she learned that!!

what a mess!

Ho hum. Another workday in the life of me. Today I dove headirst into a tedious and long overdue project... one that I have in fact been putting off since April. Of last year.

This is the aftermath of said project:

Minus the protein bar wrapper and the Aquafina bottle (yes, it had Crystal Light fruit punch in it)... the rest of that mess is guts from old binders that are either outdated or were never used in various meetings. Super duper fun.

But... waste not, want not, right?!

and all this doesn't distract me

I know you think I just sit around and play on the internet all day during work, but I do actually have a desk in a cubicle in an office. Yes, there's a computer there, and yes I do spend a good portion of my day f-ing around.... but I get a lot of work done, too. It's not my fault I'm just so amazingly brilliant that it takes me less time to finish things than it does other people..... hee hee. :)

So here's a tiny piece of where I sit and work so so hard every day. It is just a small excerpt of the cacophony that is my desk. I have an addiction to magnets that almost rivals my addiction to flip flops, lip gloss, and cute bags. This shot really doesn't do it justice.

You'll see the not-so-surprising ones on there... the flip flop, the star, the tacos... the inspirational one that says "leap and the net will appear". I have a large variety of those types of motivational quotes all over my cube... it's as if I think that merely sitting in their presence and perhaps giving them a sideways glance now and again will help yank me out of the melancholy of this damn broken heart. (But that's another story for another day!)

Did you notice the one that says "Mischief Managed"?! That's a personal favorite. :)

So today I woke up to some major thunderstorms. I tried to take some pictures of the crazy weather outside, but of course they don't even come close to doing it justice.

It was super creepy!!! I hate thunderstorms.

actually productive?

So my wireless was wacked yesterday... that's why I'm posting yesterday's photo today. And today's will be up later on.

Yesterday was actually somewhat productive for me. I got up, went and taught my 2 gymnastics classes, went to the gym and then tanning... helped my mom pick out a new cell phone... and went out for sushi for dinner, then took Miss Stella for a walk! Yay!

In the midst of all that, I spent a good piece of the afternoon playing with Stella, which is where the day's picture is from. Isn't she just precious? Yes, and precocious. ;)

I really do adore my dog. She is my very best friend! Sad, I know. But it's true!

So I've decided to take a page out of my little-little-little DG sister's book (her name is Bailey, she rocks) and start a Photo-a-Day blog. This way all of you can see how actually boring and random my life truly is.

As if there were ever any doubt about that.
